May 11 & 12, 2018
Friday May 11 6:00pm – 9:00 pm
Saturday May 12 9:00 am – 4:00 pm
With certified trainer Leah Boyd
At Deering High School in Portland, ME
Defining “activism” broadly to include working for social change on all levels, from personal conversations to large-scale public action, this training asks some provocative questions:
- Is it possible to disagree in a way that actually brings me into closer connection?
- What is my intention – to listen, to be heard or to be right?
- How can I speak and listen, without judgments and assumptions, and still show up powerfully and honestly?
- Can I hear beneath strong words to discover shared needs and values?
